Choosing adventures based on the classical elements

Not everyone likes the same things, and this is true also for the most natural around us. Some people enjoy water more than wind and others enjoy earth more than fire, and if you are having a hard time choosing your next adventure this post might just help you.

Water adventures

I’m not sure if I’m being biased because I love the ocean or if there just are a lot of exciting things to be done in or near water, but at least it feels like this is the longest list. Do you relax by staring at the ocean or taking a long bath at home? Is jumping head first in water the first thing you think about when you think about being free? Then this might just be for you (and me):

  • Scuba diving
  • Swimming (in a cave)
  • Snorkeling
  • Watching dolphins and whales
  • Jet skiing
  • Kayaking or Canoeing
  • Kite surfing
  • White water rafting
  • Swim in Icelands Blue Lagoon
  • Visit a waterfall
  • Cliff jumping
  • Surfing
  • Sailing

Then there’s of course the Cold Adventures which I will add in this section:

  • Ice skating
  • Downhill skiing
  • Skiing
  • Swimming in a hole in the ice
  • Dogsledding
  • Glacier climbing

Earth adventures

Do you love going out on the countryside, seeing how the leaves turn from green to orange to brown, dies and comes back to life? Enjoying the comfort the forest brings and the adrenaline in reaching a place by foot? This might be for you!

  • Hiking
  • Camping
  • Mountain Biking
  • Climbing
  • Visiting the jungle
  • Horseback riding
  • Go on a Safari
  • Visiting cultural heritage sites
  • Caving

Wind adventures

Do you love the breeze more than anything? The feeling of falling through the air doesn’t scare you too much? Great, then you might find your next adventure here!

  • Kiting
  • Skydiving
  • Hang gliding
  • Wingsuit flying
  • Going for a helicopter ride
  • Bungee jumping
  • Hot air balloon ride
  • Para sailing

Fire adventures

I had to get a little bit creative with this one. How many activities actually includes fire? Well, if you count heat and motorsport as fire, there are some. Then of course, you might just see every adventure as being #onfire #lit.

  • Burning man festival
  • Visiting the desert
  • Motorsport, I’ll let it be as one whole category but the ones interested probably know what you can get.
  • Visiting an active volcano

Which one is your favorite? Did I forget anything? Let me know!
